éntha debuts via Strange Rules, and captures our attention immediately. The quiet chords of the opening moments eventually lead to fractured noise-rhythms, with overt blooming melodies hinting at, and finally reaching near-crystalline gazing heights. Electronics, guitar, noise and voice swirl together but where so many who skirt genres like this fail, éntha succeeds by being completely sincere and genuinely reflective.
It makes sense that the first time I heard this music I was alone in a field in England, lights from a city illuminating the sky ahead.
